May 2007 DMBLGIT award for originality!

Hurray! Just to let you know that this photo of beetroot pickled Easter eggs (eggs & styling by me, shooting by K) won an award for Originality at the May 2007 Does My Blog Look Good In This contest. Thank you, Scott, Trig and other judges, for this great category award. It's an honour to be included in the same post with these other foodblogger/photographers! Make sure to go and check out all the other wonderful winners!

And greetings to all of you from bonnie Scotland! After enduring the cold & wet weather in Edinburgh for a few days, we arrived today to a sunny & warm isle of Arran where a friend of mine is getting married tomorrow night. Normal blogging will resume in a few days...

Fantastic news! Congratulations on the award. Hope you enjoy the sunnier weather on Arran - although it did perk up in Edinburgh on Friday evening.

Congratulations Pille! As soon as I saw this one I knew it would be a winner in at least one category. It didn't me take me long giving this marks out of ten. It's a great photo and one to be very proud of, you deserve the accolade!

I love the look of this! It reminds me of something out of one of my children's books--beautiful.

Oh, I like these eggs a lot! They really look pretty cool, and, how to put it - different :-) The blog is lovely - had I more time, I would definitely read it more often.

Roxy - I think he deserves some credit for his 'work', given he inspires me to cook, and obligingly eats most of my creations:)

Sciencemel - Arran was like a day & night compared to Edinburgh - I guess most wedding guests got a sunburn by the end of the day:)

K&S - we had great time at the wedding:)

Mae - thank you very much!

Anne - thank you! Sometimes really simple foods can look great, can't they? (I'm reminded of your chocolate-filled raspberries, which got an DMBLGIT award last year)

Pippurimylly - and such an easy dish to boot! You'd like that in Finland:)

Valentina - thanks!

Thredahlia - suur aitäh!

Joey - the wedding venue was really romantic indeed!

Trig - I appreciate that. I'm glad the photo turned out so well, but the colours were good to start with, it was just a matter of arranging them neatly and humorously on the plate:)

Freya & Paul - I'm flattered!

Bea - coming from you, it means a lot to me!

Manuel - gracias:)

Dagmar - thank you!

Aari - tore, et meeldivad ja rõõm Sind siin näha üle tüki aja:)

Tea - the bright colours are definitely child-friendly, so I bet they remind you of something like that..

Maarika - hey, your first ever comment:) Hope you'll like the eggs when you try them!

Jeanne - thank you!

it's a great recipe with purple eggs, but I don't know how you get that color in the eggs? I really want to know it. By the way, such a brilliant post here.
