Roasted Figs with Candied Ginger

No recipe, just a simple dessert idea. Halved figs are sprinkled with sugar and topped with couple of Buderim candied ginger nibbles. Roasted in the 200 C/400 F oven for 15 minutes, just to warm through, then drizzled with lemon juice and garnished with lemon zest.

Perhaps not the best fig dessert ever, but it's quick and easy, and I love the picture :)

ooh that looks delicious. Our figs have finished already though. I wonder where yours are coming from (I am suppose they don't grow in Estonia?)

Liz - well, fresh figs are very hard to get here in Estonia, and they're definitely don't grow here. The ones available at grocery stores are way overpriced and often underripe and tasteless. Luckily, one can sometimes get lucky at the market :)

Jeanne - it tasted just fine, but nothing special. But I really-really loved the photo :)
