Rye bread with hazelnuts, raisins and dried cranberries

I've been baking my own naturally leavened (aka no-yeast) rye bread again, using just rye flour, and I'm very pleased with the results. I always make two large loafs - one plain (well, I do add caraway seeds and linseeds to the dough), the other flavoured. Last weekend I added some hazelnuts, dried cranberries and raisins to the mixture. Absolutely delicious!

Let me know if you're interested in the recipe.

EDIT 8 July 2009: Well, looks like I'll need to post the recipe indeed :) It's a longer post, but I'll do it a.s.a.p.!

Looks like you'll be needing to share the recipe. I've never thought of making a "quick bread" out of rye flour. Love the idea of the fruit and nut additions!

Post Away with the recipe already!

Also, that Courgette Casserole from last week was easy & tasty.

Your bread looks gorgeous, and I'm sure, tastes absolutely delicious! I have to remember your idea to add dried cranberries to the mixture, will try that! I've baked my bread only with mixed seeds and raisins so far.

This looks really good. I have never tried adding lots of nuts and fruit to rye based breads - I will have to try this once you share the recipe. I love rye bread.

Hi there - I would love to get the recipe for this rye bread! I just made your bilberry tart a few hours ago (although I used wild saskatoon berries which is what grows locally) and can't wait to try it. If you would like to send the rye bread recipe to my email it's:
